All to often, we hear ” I wish I hadn’t bought that, or went with that contractor, or rented to that person, etc…”
It is as if we know better, but do it anyway. Is it pressure? Wanting to get a project moving faster? “Just get it over with” thinking?
Whatever the case, buyers remorse or regrets immediately after a decision usually are because we ignored our gut, or our intuition. Our experience in life, dealings with others and watching what happens to other people, have all contributed to our ability to ‘feel’ whether something is right or not. We cannot always explain why we feel that a situation is bad, or good, but our inner self, our gut, is telling us what to do.
Listening to our inner self is very important. Your past experiences in life are stored up in your brain, and often times you don’t even consciously remember an event, but something is telling you to walk away from a deal.
Don’t underestimate your ability to make good decisions, even if you can’t quite put your finger on the reason you feel a certain way…
