It’s still Hot, Hot, Hot!

It’s still summer in Vegas!

My family and I are enjoying a few days in Las Vegas visiting family.
With temperatures still hitting 100 this week, I am reminded of how much energy is consumed cooling our homes, not to mention huge buildings.
When the EPA gets involved with setting limits on how new homes are cooled, it can be frustrating for new homeowners. In states like Idaho, the cooling and heating design parameters can be a challenge. However, if we understand why new homes are designed at a 75 degree indoor temp on a 95 degree day, rather than the 70 degree on a 110 degree day that many people desire, many potential issues can be avoided.
Let me know if you are interested in more information on this topic.
Enjoy!
